Our Birmingham factory workshops, goes back to 1935. Started by my great grandfather. The buildings go back to 1840. Originally a railway crossing house.
All our repairs are done in our own workshops in Birmingham by our own staff. We are always happy to give you a free quote.
We are proud of our workshop facility, we have trained staff who can carry out small adjustments like replacing a strap or giving your accordion a clean and industrial polishing to restore the original lustre. We can fully restore, re - tune, change keys (B.C to D.G ETC) air leaks, bellow repairs, screws, pins, buttons, straps, keys replacements. Cosmetic work inside and/or out. Anything that needs replacing or looking at on your accordion. Our tuning is also carried out to the highest standard using expensive and extremely accurate techniques, by factory trained personnel.
Musical Instrument Digital Interface otherwise known as MIDI. The development of the MIDI system has been a major technology brake though. The first Midi system first appeared in 1982. Midi systems normally have small sensors and magnets in the bass and the right hand (treble) which when set of send a digital reading thought the system then transforms it to analogue then out the speakers as a sound.
The most common types of Midi systems we fit are the Music tech system, Master midi system, limex system, and Bohm system. All of these systems are a wonderful aid for the accordion /Melodeon player.
All midi systems are different, some have patches and backing tracks built into the system, like the limex system which has a digital screen fitted onto the accordion. Some require an expander. We can advise and supply most expanders. We can fit all types of MIDI systems and also advise you on the best system to suit your requirements.
Specially designed microphones can be fitted into accordions and melodeons too. We fit a basic microphone system which has three microphones in the treble wired thought the bellows into the bass which has one microphone fitted into it.
